Lesson of the day: Don’t drink water out of your hands just after you wash them. Just because your Bath and Body Works soap smells good does not mean that it tastes good.
*clap clap*
This is the first step. You’re walking out the door, slowly, tentatively. One foot in, one foot out. You need a push, but you don’t know where it’s going to come from. Your mom is crying. You know you have to go; you’ve packed your bags, you’ve made travel arrangements. But still, you want desperately to go back to a time when things weren’t so complicated. Sometimes, you just want to be a child again. You want to run back into your little-girl nightgown, hold your teddy bear, and cry for your parents because they’ll come running. You need to be held, not to hold. Sometimes, you don’t want to grow up. But now you’re just too old. You need to face the world. You have to hit the ground running, with no turning back. It’s too late. GSD. There’s no time for sometimes when you want what you need.
It’s good to be home, even though I leave in FIVE DAYS.
BUT it’s COLD. What happened?
And in twelve more days, none of it will even matter.
